Welcome Basket Pty Ltd (“Welcome Basket”) is a community-based service which welcomes new arrivals to an area with information on local businesses and services. The Welcome Basket services only the Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby communities at present.

Protecting your privacy is fundamentally important to our business. We strive to provide you with the best and most informative community service. To us, that includes treating you and the information you provide with respect.
All personal information sent to us (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any other personal information) will be held in the strictest confidence by Welcome Basket.
Collecting and Using Information
Welcome Basket identifies and locates new residents through internal and personal referrals, from local real estate agents, our website, request calls from the people themselves, through the Council websites and offices, through new residents registering for a basket and through advertising our services. Welcome Basket collects your information so that it can schedule an appointment to visit you and provide you with tailored services on the personal visit such as greetings, gifts, information about the community, and periodic mailings.
Releasing Information
Welcome Basket shares your basic information to our business associates and partners who sponsor us in the basket, making our community service possible. The disclosure of the information verifies the success of our service and accounts for the gifts we distribute on the sponsors’ behalf. Some of the businesses may contact you with a follow up email after delivery of the basket. If you do not wish to be contacted, please let us know by email or phone within 1 week of receiving your basket, on rachel@welcomebasket.com.au or 0410512875.
Protecting Information
Access to our new resident data is limited to the Welcome Basket’s business associates and partners who have agreed to a confidentiality clause in their contracts, which prevents use of or disclosure of that information for any purpose other than for that business to provide services to you (except if you agree otherwise). All Welcome Basket representatives and employees are also subject to a confidentiality agreement which prevents the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information for the purposes other than stated above.
Providing Information and Access and Accuracy
Upon request, we will give you full access to your personal information which we have retained about you. While we strive to make sure the information we collect is as accurate as possible, we will also happily amend any personal information if it is incorrect.
Respecting and Responding to your Privacy Concerns
We will investigate and respond to your concerns about any aspect of our handling of your personal information. As well, if you request in writing that you do not want your personal information to be given to any of our business associates and partners, we will comply with that request. All you need to do is notify us.
Welcome Basket’s On-line Privacy Policy
On our website, visitors are given the opportunity to provide information including name, email address, telephone number, and postal address in order to receive our Welcome Basket. You may be included in our database to receive periodic (usually quarterly) mailings from Welcome Basket with information on new services or upcoming events. Anyone who supplies us with their telephone number may receive telephone contact from a Welcome Basket representative, with information regarding the services in their local area.
