Rachel Wilson, Founder and Director
Welcome Basket has been delivering baskets to new residents since 2008. Rachel Wilson the founder of Welcome Basket grew up in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. When she met her husband they decided to make the move to leafy Turramurra. Rachel found it difficult to settle into the new area not knowing where to go for goods and services and spent most of her time travelling back to the East.
Tired of the commute she began to try out services in her local area. The idea of helping other new residents both locally and from overseas make this transition seemed like a good idea. Rachel comes from a media background having worked at both the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the Nine Network. Rachel is passionate about advertising and helping small businesses achieve success.
Our mission is to encourage new residents to shop locally.
